Today, we learned that Frontier Developments will at long last be bringing its space adventure title Elite: Dangerous to PS4 consoles next month on June 27.

Elite: Dangerous was originally released on PC in December 2014 before later coming to Xbox One and Mac the following year in October 2015. The game was revealed to be coming to PS4 in December of 2016.

Those already familiar with Elite: Dangerous may know that the game supports both HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR headsets on PC. However, it will not support Sony's PSVR when it arrives on PS4. Frontier Developments hasn't said one way or another if it will receive support in the future, but their silence seems to indicate that it is not likely.

Below you can check out the announcement trailer that was shown when Elite: Dangerous was first revealed to be coming to PS4. If you're looking to pre-order the game, you can do so through the PlayStation Store beginning on May 30 while retail copies should be available for pre-order now.
