Elite: Dangerous Honors Actor Leonard Nimoy with His Own In-Game Planet and Space Station

Late last month, those in the communities of TV, film, video games, and other media mourned the loss of actor Leonard Nimoy, most famously known for playing the iconic role of Spock in the original Star Trek television series, and while many other games and media have taken to memorials and and other tokens to honor his memory, the developers of Elite: Dangerous took to the game and honor Nimoy through the stars.

An Imgur user captured several screenshots from Elite: Dangerous showing how the development team touchingly honored the passing of Leonard Nimoy, with the images showing “Planet Vulcan” and the “Leonard Nimoy Station” – each lovingly-crafted and showing the team putting their time into crafting an appropriately grand memorial(s) to the actor’s memory.

Elite: Dangerous is currently available on PC, with the game also coming to Mac and Xbox One later in 2015 – you can check out images from both Planet Vulcan and the Leonard Nimoy Station in honor of the Star Trek actor’s memory below:
