Developer Mojang is planning on ending 2016 with the 1.0 Ender Update for Minecraft: Windows 10 and Pocket Edition. This will also remove the beta label for the Windows 10 edition, bringing it more in line with the original PC version.

In the 1.0 Ender Update players will be able to access the End, fight the Ender Dragon, explore the islands of the End and End Cities, access new blocks, plants, and mob type. Currently the block height limit is at 128 though with the 1.0 Ender Update that will be increased to 256. More features are planned but will be announced at a later time.

Mojang also stated that the Apple TV Edition would be shipping with this update when it is released. You can participate in the 1.0 Ender Update alpha test if you are an Android user and sign up.
