If you dig on some Mickey Mouse gaming but aren't into Kingdom Hearts, Warren Spector's got your back with the upcoming Epic Mickey 2: The Power of 2 -- and we've got the debut trailer for you. This sequel includes a strong co-op element, and the story will place more emphasis on the character of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, hence "the Power of 2" addendum to the title.

As previously announced, the game will include co-op multiplayer, but that is, perhaps, not the most amusing element of the game. In a GDC interview led by Associated Press, Epic Mickey's designer Warren Spector admits "I'm such a geek about musicals. I love the co-op and next-gen stuff, but for me, when a character breaks into song, which they do on a regular basis in this game, it's magic." He goes on to say how the game couldn't properly honor the spirit of Old Disney which both Mickey and Oswald embody without a strong musical element. As long as the music in this is better than the lame rhythm minigames in Kingdom Hearts 2, I'll stand behind Spector's opinion. Check out the debut trailer after the break!
