on October 11, 2012 12:40 PM

Chillingo, subsidiary of EA, has announced it will be working with Universal Partnerships & Licensing to give E.T. another shot at video games with E.T.: The Green Planet.

The game is available for iOS devices and created in celebration of the movie’s 30th anniversary by Strawdog Studios. Players will have to work to bring the little extra-terrestrial home.

Features in the game include:

  • Explore the world of The Green Planet
  • Grow plants and watch them grow
  • Collect artifacts from the film
  • Visit friends gardens on The Green Planet and invite players through Facebook and Twitter

We all know how the last E.T. game turned out but this one looks like it is targeting the social crowd. A trailer for the game can be viewed below.
