Today developer and publisher CCP Games announced that its game EVE: Valkyrie will be getting a slew of new content in the form of a brand new expansion titled Warzone.

The most notable feature of Warzone, is that it drops the requirement of a VR unit, meaning if you don't want to use your PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, or HTC Vive, then you don't have to.

A brand new mode titled Extraction will be introduced, which will essentially be a variation of the classic gamemode capture-the-flag. In addition to that, two new maps will be added to the game. The first is titled Fleet, which will be set near a Sisters of EVE space station, while the second is named Outpost, which will take place at a Drifter base. You'll also have a new ship type at your disposal called the Shadow, while each individual ship will also see upgrades in the form of new modifications.

The reward system in the game will also be updated. You'll now earn XP per ship, and if you want to modify said ship, you'll only need XP to do so. Gold is set to be completely removed from the game.

Warzone will be available as a free upgrade for all current owners of EVE: Valkerie. If you don't already own the game, you can purchase EVE: Valkerie - Warzone for $29.99.

The expansion is set to launch on September 26th, 2017, and will be available on both PlayStation 4 and PC. You can check out a brand new teaser for the expansion below.
