As previously announced, Everspace has now been made available as part of the Xbox One game preview program, and will soon come to the Windows 10 version of game preview.  As part of the Play Anywhere program for Xbox One and Windows 10 games, Everspace will support cross-save and buy once, play anywhere.

We were excited to be able to showcase Everspace at a variety of events over the past year – from E3 to Gamescom and it got great player response every time. We’re super excited that it’s coming to Windows 10 and Xbox One via game preview, and it’s awesome to have it as the debut Xbox Play Anywhere game in the ID@Xbox program.

Everspace will be updated with an new boss fight, voice acting for dialogues, a new planet type, and more Outlaw stations. For visual options players can now turn off v-sync, and more support for ultra-wide monitors. A full release is currently planned for the first quarter of 2017, but until then you can also check out two new ships:

The Colonial Scout, much smaller than the current Colonial Interceptor, will feature extreme maneuverability, a higher top speed but a weaker hull. It comes with a cloaking device and sniper weapons as starting gear. The upcoming Colonial Gunship will be the slowest of the three space ships but will compensate through a much stronger hull and an upgradable turret on top.
