Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture by The Chinese Room and Sony Santa Monica wasn’t at PlayStation Experience, but its developers weren’t standing idle. Apparently they used the time to work hard on the game, as they mentioned on Twitter:
Wow, made it to the end of an incredibly intense week of development, but with some fantastic stuff rolled into the game.
Down to the last four days before we break for a much needed recharge and today it’s all about new AI, testkits, music and static caravans.
Interestingly, we also learn that the studio is already thinking about its next game, as revealed by a response to a fan that asked if we’ll ever see a game like the Half-Life 2 mod Korsakovia released by The Chinese Room in 2009.
Can’t see it happening at this point. Had some ideas on the burn for the next title for a while now and they’re quite different.
The folks at The Chinese Room have also shown a strong creativity in their games, and it’ll definitely be interesting to see what they’ll come up with next. Of course it’s still early, since we’re still waiting to get our hands on Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.
