As news has spread of the demise of Anonymous members, another former member has been detained by the good old Scotland Yard in Essex. Ryan Cleary, former AnonOps member, was taken to a central London police station and remains in custody on suspicion of violating the Computer Misuse Act and the Fraud Act. Don't ask me the specifics of that law, as despite the fact that I'll soon be studying in England, I am not at all familiar with English law.

Cleary became a figure of controversy in the hacking community in May, after he dissociating himself with Anonymous and launched attacks on their IRC chat messageboards.

I have to say it's definitely a good thing that these people are being detained, whether they are Lulzsec, Anonymous or rouge hackers like Cleary. The only message I have gleaned from their stupidity is for consumers to wake up from buyer's apathy, but other than that, I can't see any rationale to their continued attacks on games companies.
