Fallout 4 is getting its first large story expansion pack tomorrow. Far Harbor takes you on a new case with Valentine’s Detective Agency and leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. The mysterious island of Far Harbor has higher levels of radiation that have created a more feral world.

Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that Bethesda Game Studios has ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons.

In a new video lead designer Will Shen and lead producer Phil Nelson emphasize the cruel and unforgiving experience the Far Harbor DLC will be.

Far Harbor is the largest land mass we have ever made for an add-on. It’s a high level area with a mystery, danger, and a new conflict between the town’s people, the Children of Atom and the Synths.”

Phil Nelson goes on to talk about how they wanted the Far Harbor expansion to feel.

“We wanted to take Fallout 4 to a place more rugged, a harsher terrain, and then build on that and make something that is sort of a feral experience. Most of the town is actually destroyed and the inhabitants live on the very edge of the town on a dock.”

In this new Fallout 4 experience you can get yourself a melee meat hook weapon, a Harpoon gun, a powerful lever action hunting rifle, and a whole new combat armor – Marine Combat Armor – that is the best armor you can get short of Power Armor.

The expansion also includes all new creatures. The Angler absorbs fog and shoots fire balls at you and the Fog Crawler is an even more mutated Mirelurk.

Far Harbor releases tomorrow, May 19, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can check out the video down below.
