Fall Xbox 360 Dashboard Update is Incoming

on October 16, 2012 8:20 PM

Microsoft is in the process of rolling out their fall Xbox 360 dashboard update to all users across the board (those who weren’t in the beta, anyway). While the basic style of the dashboard doesn’t change, there are some improvements, such as being able to pin your own items to the dashboard itself, as well as information displayed based on your gaming preferences, similar to how Bing or Google tailor search results.

That isn’t all that’s coming this fall. While it isn’t in this update, there will be support for SmartGlass coming later this month with the launch of Windows 8. Oh, and there’s Internet Explorer, too. Needless to say, expect an update next time you log on to your Xbox 360.
