Fallout: Shadow of Boston Submitted to German Patent Office (UPDATED)

Update: the trademark was debunked by Bethesda themselves via Twitter.

An interesting piece of news has revealed itself: it seems that the title Fallout: Shadow of Boston has been submitted to the German patent office by Bethesda:

Fallout Patent

Interestingly enough, when looking at the category descriptions for the patents it states both variations of “computer game” and “auditioning for TV game show.” While the former definitely makes sense, the latter is a bit odd. I suppose we’ll be finding out that means in the future.
