Fallout 4 VR was originally announced at E3 2016, but since then not much has been said about its development. However, according to Bethesda's Pete Hines, it's going to have a coming-out event at E3 2017.

In an interview with HipHopGamer, Hines revealed a brief look into his discussions about the VR version of Fallout 4 with Bethesda Director Todd Howard. Although Hines doesn't play VR due to suffering from motion sickness, he passed on these words from Howard.

"He said, Fallout 4 VR is the most incredible thing you've ever seen in your life. You can't even imagine what it's like, playing in VR and how realistic it looks and everywhere you turn your head. It is going to blow your mind. It is the craziest thing you've ever seen."

Hines went on to say "we'll have it at E3."

When asked about his feelings regarding the future of VR, Hines admitted he's not sure it's going to be revolutionary, but that it is certainly establishing its audience and that Bethesda plans to be a part of that process.

"I think it'll grow [...] it will be accepted and it will become more common. I don't personally believe it's ever going to be a thing where like, 'I don't play other things. I only play on VR.' Because I play games and my wife likes to watch and if I've got some damn headset on and I'm telling her like, 'I don't even care if you're in the room, I'm playing this thing,' she's going to be like 'What? No.'

"But I have no doubt in my mind that it's going to grow, it's going to expand. We're obviously doing stuff with Fallout 4..."

Fallout 4 VR has been announced to release on PC for HTC Vive sometime in 2017. There's no word what other VR devices may see its launch.
