False Alarm, Final Fantasy Versus XIII is Not Coming Out This Year

Last week, an awesome, action packed trailer for the long awaited PS3 exclusive Final Fantasy Versus XIII dropped to much buzz. Fans were treated with luscious cutscenes, exciting game play and more of the game than many of us have ever seen at once. It has also been a whopping five years since the game was announced. It is understandable then how one could infer that the game would be dropping later this year, right?

If you made that assumption, unfortunately, you would be wrong. Nomura Tetsuya-san has stated that with both FF Type-0 and FF XIII-2 dropping this year, we should be content waiting longer for Versus. He also says that it could appear at E3. You should definitely check out the other billion details on the game at the source. Here’s to waiting another year.
