Famitsu: Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Hitting Japan March 18

We can all trust Famitsu, right? If you do, then you Metal Gear fans awaiting the new PSP Kojima title, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, will be glad to know that Famitsu has put out the release date for March 18, 2010 in Japan. How does a Japanese release date make you any happier? If you’ve been a loyal fan of the series, you would know that Konami is known for their timely localizations – meaning that it probably won’t be far off until we see a release date for us Western folk.

I have yet to try out the game, but from what everyone else is saying, the game is solid. Get it? Solid? … Moving forward, with the game releasing on March 18, I’m confident that North America will more than likely see the game hitting our store shelves a couple of months down the line. If you haven’t played the Japanese demo because all those Japanese character mumbo-jumbo scared you, you’ll be relieved to know that an English demo is in the works for us English speaking bastards. When the demo is coming to us, god knows. But, hey, at least it’s coming.
