Fans of Daft Punk and/or Chiptunes: Da Chip II is Now Available for Free

on February 19, 2012 6:26 PM

Oh boy, this might be the greatest combination since some jerk got chocolate in another douche’s peanut butter: Da Chip II is the second volume of Daft Punk songs covered by a wide variety of awesome chiptunes artists, and it’s quite a delectable mix of music.

As much of an indie games fan as I am, I’ve never really “gotten” the whole chiptunes genre, but as a pompous indie music fan, I’ve adored the hell out of Daft Punk, and these two seem to just mix perfectly. I have to say, if you’re a fan of one but not the other, you’ll likely still find this mixtape very pleasant to your noiseholes. Cop it here, and if you hadn’t grabbed the first one previously, you might as well do that too.

His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
