Giants Software and Focus Home Interactive released Farming Simulator 18, the newest handheld entry in their popular agricultural simulation series both physically and digitally today, and it was accompanied by a launch trailer.

Farming Simulator 18 allows players who are on the go to become a modern farmer in a new Southern US environment. Players have the ability to harvest crops like wheat, canola, corn, sugar beat, potatoes, and sunflowers (which are new to the series). One can also raise livestock, with pigs joining the handheld entries in the series for the first time alongside both cows and sheep. Farming Simulator 18 lets players try their hand at forestry, which is new to the 3DS version of the game.

After growing crops, raising livestock, and/or trying their hand at forestry, players can sell their products on a dynamic market, and can used the profits received to expand their farm. As one progresses throughout the game, they will gain access to over 50 farming vehicles and machines. All of these vehicles and machines are recreated from 30 of the biggest names in the agricultural industry, with AGCO's highly respected brands Challenger, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra being available in game for the first time.

Farming Simulator 18 was unveiled all the way back in January alongside a Nintendo Switch version of Farming Simulator 17. Since then it has received in-game screenshots and an gameplay trailer that details all of the game's modes, like this launch trailer.

While these trailers highlight the 3DS and PS Vita versions of the game, Focus Home Interactive also confirmed today that a version of Farming Simulator 18 that is similar to the one available on the aforementioned consoles is now also out on iOS and Android. You can purchase the iOS version here, and check out the Android version in the Google Play Store here.
