FarmVille Migrates To

Just about everyone in the social networking scene, as well as those that permeate the Internet, should be familiar with FarmVille – a title that launched and gained fame on Facebook.com. I personally never played the it even after my Facebook friends continuously harassed me to join them in growing Yuca and whatever else they grew, but it seems that the game has surpassed the plateau of Facebook and will be jumping towards other mobile platforms.

Obviously, this means that FarmVille has become extremely popular amongst the casual gaming community (especially those that live on Facebook). The farming cartoony simulator will be making its way onto other platforms such as Android and iPad to cater even more to the addicted fanbase on the go.

Domain names farmvilleipad.com, farmvilleandroid.com, farmvilleiphone.com and farmvillesms.com have been discovered by website Superannuation. The domain names were registered to DNStination Inc., which is the third party that also has the game’s official website farmville.com.

Mashable.com followed up with Zynga, the company that’s responsible for FarmVille, and received this quote: “Zynga plans to expand to various mobile platforms. We cannot provide additional information at this time.”

At this point in time I can actually hear the godforsaken screams of excitement from the 80% of my Facebook friends who trade cattle and grow cabbage in FarmVille. A mobile version will totally kill whatever attention span they had. Damn you FarmVille! [shakes fist vigorously at FarmVille]
