Ever since Nintendo's Tokyo Livestream, we've known that the FIFA series would be heading to Nintendo Switch. Less clear, however, was whether we would be seeing the latest FIFA games on the fledgling console. In a conversation with GameReactor, Peter Moore elaborated on this point saying that Nintendo Switch's version "will be FIFA 18, and wit will obviously be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out."

That isn't to say that Nintendo Switch's version will be a direct port -- many have been wondering whether we are seeing a beefed-up last generation version, or a slimmed down current generation version. In fact, Moore explicitly reaffirmed that EA Vancouver is "custom-building a FIFA version for the Nintendo Switch." However, it is unclear whether "custom version" speaks to new features, adapting for the Switch's control scheme, or a graphical downgrade.

The Nintendo Switch launches March 3, 2017 -- gamers can expect FIFA 18 to arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One sometime in September.
