There's nothing like a good boxing game. The thrill of beating your opponents unmercifully as you work their face into dough with your padded fists, swell their eyes, and lay waste to whatever manhood they once had prior to entering that square canvas, is a rewarding feeling. To reinstate that feeling of unprecedented superiority, EA has just revealed their next installment in its Fight Night boxing series: Fight Night Champion. IGN has the first details of the game, which offers a new focus on single-player content.

EA Sports has strongly emphasized that the game isn't an expansion to the fourth round Fight Night game released last year, with producer Brian Hayes stating that Champion will be "The full meal deal with desert and a toy. The whole enchilada. All that and a bag..." With regards to the roster of boxers, you can expect anywhere from 60 to 65 fighters furnishing the canvas rings, including Filipino badass Manny "Pac-man" Pacquaio, which can be seen in the image above. We'll be contacting EA for more specific details on the game, which is due to release sometime in 2011.
