Final Fantasy's dad Hironobu Sakaguchi is going to unveil his next game on Wednesday during a conference at Japan Expo, and there are good news and (arguably) bad news.

The good news is that the probable title of the game has been unveiled by the usual trademark filing with the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office. It should be "TERRA BATTLE" (all caps included), and for the record "Terra" means Earth in Latin.

The bad news is that the trademark, filed on June 2 by Sakaguchi-san's Mistwalker Corporation, explicitly mentions a mobile nature of the title within the descriptions of its 9 (games) and 41 (online games) classes, meaning that it's probably going to be another smartphone game.

Now that I crushed your hopes (and my own), all we can do is waiting for Wednesday's announcement. If I can be excused, I have to go drown my despair into some form of extremely alcoholic liquid.
