After Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story Director Yasumi Matsuno, the tactical RPG Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians picked up more talent from the Final Fantasy chest. Developer Playdek just announced that Akihiko Yoshida joined the team.

Yoshida-san recently disclosed his departure from Square Enix, even if he's still working for the publisher as a freelance on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn and Bravely Second. He comes with an impressive portfolio that includes Final Fantasy Tactics, Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy XII, Bravely Default, Ogre Battle and many more successful titles.

Yoshida-san's participation to the game won't be bound to a stretch goal, and he will reprise his role as a character designer, possibly bringing even more Final Fantasy Tactics flavor to the game, that at the moment is sitting on $428,948 on Kickstarter. That's less than $200,000 away from the $600,000 goal, with 17 days to go.

If you want to pledge your own support for Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians you can do so on the official Kickstarter page.
