Final Fantasy Tactics Director is the “Visionary” of Unsung Story; Won’t Do Day-to-Day Directing

Following the launch of the Kickstarter project for the tactical RPG Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians many wondered about the involvement of Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story Director Yasumi Matsuno.

Today Matsuno-san took to twitter to clarify what exactly his work on the game entails:

Just so there’s no confusion: I won’t be doing the day-to-day directing, but I will be involved throughout development of #UnsungStory.

I am the visionary of the game, from mechanics to story. Playdek is realizing this vision with me.

Thank you for supporting our Kickstarter!

While Matsuno-san won’t take care of the day-to-day directing, he’s still leading the vision behind the design of its mechanics and story, which are the most important parts of this kind of game.

Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians has currently gathered $335,456 of its $600,000 goal, and you can contribute to its creation by pledging your own support on the official Kickstarter page.
