The Media Create Software Charts for last week has just been published, showing a quite triumphant start for the innovative PSP entry of the Final Fantasy series: Final Fantasy Type-0.

472,253 copies managed to find their way to a Japanese home, topping the chart for the week by a landslide.

Far in second place is Kirby’s Return to Dreamland for the Wii with 136,881 copies sold and surprisingly even farther in third The Idolm@ster 2 for the PS3, that sold 65,512 copies.

Hopefully strong sales in Japan will prompt Square Enix to announce a western release date for Final Fantasy Type-0 soon.
