Final Fantasy VII Remake Had Most Watched Trailer at PlayStation Experience: Full Ranking Inside

on December 8, 2015 5:13 PM

Sony’s PlayStation Experience keynote was an orgy of trailers, but which one had the most impact on the audience, grabbing the most views? In order to gauge the popularity of each game, we counted the views on each trailer three days in.

The count includes both the official PlayStation channels and developers and publishers’ channels where relevant. This is especially important, because the folks at PlayStation were remarkably slow in publishing the videos this time around, and in most cases publishers released the trailers first on their own channels, grabbing most of the views.

But without further ado, I leave you with the ranking.

Final Fantasy VII Remake dominated, with Epic Game’s MOBA Paragon following closely. the numbers made by other games aren’t nearly as big. MLB 16: The Show, Street Fighter V and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End managed to get over 400,000 views.

Ni No Kuni II: Ravenant KingdomKing of Fighters XIV and Hitman also gathered solid interest, with over 300,000 views.

New Hot Shots Golf was a curious case. Not only its trailer wasn’t showcased at the conference, but Sony published it only yesterday, despite the fact that it was distributed to the press on the day of the keynote. As a result, the game received a lot less attention than the rest. That’s a  pity, because it looks extremely interesting.
