Final Fantasy XI is one of the most popular MMORPGs in Japan, and Attack on Titan is currently one of the most popular anime series and manga. Yokohama...well...it's Yokohama. What happens when those three elements meet within the mind of extremely creative Japanese fans? A crazy, crazy hybrid.

Youtube user and Final Fantasy XI player Upmoon posted a video that parodies Attack on Titan's opening "Guren no Yumiya" by mixing real world scenes from Yokohama City and models from Final Fantasy XI, and it looks fantastic. If you're  fan of the game or of the series you simply have to watch it at least once in your life. We actually have a policy against posting unofficial videos, but this was so well made that I went to our editor in chief and begged him for his permission.

According to the notes, the clip took 96 hours to make, and it mixes scenes from the opening itself with well known shots from the series.

You can check out the final result and the original song below, while we wait for Upmoon to spend another 96 hours making the second opening using Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. It'd be awesome, isn't it?
