Final Fantasy XIII-2 First to Use Western Testers

on January 9, 2012 11:00 AM

According to producer Yoshinori Kitase, Final Fantasy XIII-2 is the first game by the Japanese development team to use western testers in the development process.

Kitase did not give a specific reason for using western testers (from North America and Europe), only stating that “We always used to contact test gamers, but never before those from the west. We collected opinions and perceptions, so we really know the opinions of all gamers, and can express them in the game.”

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is currently on-sale in Japan, and is coming to the 360 and PS3 on January 31st for North America, and February 3rd for Europe.
