Final Fantasy XIII-2 Teaser Trailer Shows Some Interesting Tidbits

GameSpot, in all their feigned awesomeness, has secured an exclusive teaser trailer for Final Fantasy XIII-2. Instead of waiting until next week for the inevitable release to everyone on the Interwebs, I thought I’d talk about it now. It’s a very short video, but, surprisingly, shows a good chunk of gameplay, including some quick shots of battle and moving around on the field.  If I’m not mistaken, at 0:19 it looks like there is some sort of puzzle/platforming element involved? That might be interesting.

Also of note is that one of my favorite characters, Serah, from the first game will be playable. Why was she one of my favorites? Because, regardless of what else the writers did with the overbearing story, they did an excellent job of making sure the characters were believable and relatable, which came across extremely well with Serah specifically. You can go to GameSpot’s site to check out the trailer, since the embed is apparently not playing nice with our site here.
