Final Fantasy XIV players had to be quite patient after the release of the Heavensward expansion as it nearly took 5 months for the first major update to be implemented. In a recent interview with Japanese media GAME Watch, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida apologized for the fact that it took so long for 3.1 to be released, and promised that 3.15 patch will be coming before the end of the year, around mid/late December. 3.15 patch will most noticeably introduce the new level 60 relics: Anima weapons.
As far as 3.2 update is concerned, he also added that the wait won’t be as long as for 3.1. The development team will be going back to the same pace they had for 2.X patches: one major update every three months.
Players should also rejoice for the beginning of the New Year: many seasonal events will be implemented and new information regarding the 3.2 patch will be announced around that time.
