During the opening keynote of the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn fanfest, that was just wrapped up in Tokyo, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida provided more details about the Heavensward expansion.

First of all, Nobuo Uematsu will compose the main theme for the expansion, which will also have a collector’s edition, coming with a cover by Yoshitaka Amano.

The collector’s edition will come with a dragon mount figurine, an in-game flying griffin mount, an in-game Dark Knight-themed helm inspired by the one worn by Cecil in Final Fantasy IV, a wind-up Kain minion, an artbook and more.

In addition to this, the expansion will include a flying dragon mount (the same reproduced in the figurine coming with the collector’s edition), a new raid dungeon inside Alexander, a primal summoned by the Goblins doubling up as a massive mecha-fortress.

Of course we also got the announcement of the new race and two new classes.
