Square Enix announced today the latest details about the final open beta phase for the PS4 version of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. 

The floodgates will open on April 4th at 1 AM PDT and will close on April 7th at the same hour. Version 1.62 of the PS4 system software is required to play.

The interesting part is that existing players will be able to use their own characters from the live game (but not those created during the first phase of the beta a month ago), and testing will be executed on the live servers. All progression acquired during the three open beta days will be saved and will still be preserved after launch.

Three new servers will be opened for those that don't want to play on an established one: Mana (Japan), Jenova (NA/EU) and Zodiark (NA/EU).

The download of the client will be available since April 4th from the PSN, and players that already took part in the first phase of the beta are required to uninstall the old client and install the new one.
