Final Fantasy XV Celebrates the Fall With Screenshot Showing Athletic Gladiolus

The Final Fantasy XV development team really loves the fall. A few days ago, they celebrated the season with a screenshot showing Gladiolus overeating, which is kind of a national fall pastime in Japan.

Today they raised the ante, and looks like Gladio has regained his form:

“Fall, a season for sports. (Stomach!!!)”

The sentence in green at the top of the screenshot is “Sports no Aki,” or “Fall, a season for sports.” Like the previous “Fall, a season for eating,” it’s a common japanese saying.

In Japan the National Sports Festival is held in the fall, and there’s even a national holiday called the Health and Sports Day (which this war was on October 12th). The sport festivals held in schools across the country  and popularized by many anime series are also normally held in the fall.
