Today Square Enix released a new update for the beta of Final Fantasy XV's multiplayer expansion "Comrades."

The patch is numbered 1.02 and the patch notes simply mention "various bug fixes." A previous notice explained that the patch would improve the beta's originally shaky matchmaking.

For those who missed the original beta round, the beta was also reopened today, and it will stay open until Sunday, August 13th to test the new upcate.

If you have a season pass, but haven't downloaded the client yet, unfortunately it's not available anymore, so you're locked out. You can still read all the information provided by Square Enix, explaining how the beta differs from the final product that will be released some time down the line.

If you can't play, you can at least enjoy videos of the extensive female character creation and the one for males, that let you basically create your own Final Fantasy XV kingsglaive.

Final Fantasy XV is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One. At the moment we have no information on when the "Comrades" multiplayer expansion will be released, but it's possible that we'll hear more at Gamescom.

Recently we also heard a lot of new information about the upcoming VR experience Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV.
