Square Enix just released a new batch of screenshots of Final Fantasy XV, which will be released for PS4 and Xbox One at a yet undetermined date. This time around the screenshots focus on specific battle situations.

The attack with the spear (below) is named “Impulse Thrust,” and it’s a main weapon ability that can be triggered by pushing the dedicated button.

The third screenie showcases the ability to parry (defensive counter). Noctis instantly defends from an attack and strikes back, but there’s the risk to be left wide open if executed with the wrong timing.

In the screenshot below you can see the ability to dodge attacks.

The teleport move (below) allows Noctis to instantly dash to an enemy and attack.

Finally, the last screenshot shows an ecounter with a Behemoth in the Duscae region. It’s possible to find a wide variety of enemies in the field.

I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely loving what I’m seeing. I can hardly wait to put my greedy paws on the Episode Duscae demo in a couple months, and take this baby around for a spin.
