Final Fantasy XV Gets New Screenshots and Art: Nine Studios From Asia Working on the Game

on January 30, 2016 10:25 PM

During a livestreamed event from Taipei Game Show, Final Fantasy XV Director Hajime Tabata provided more information about the development of the game.

After confirming once more that the game will be released at the same time in North America, Europe, Japan and Asia, Tabata-san revealed that nine companies from Asia, including the already announced Xpec from Taiwan, are currently supporting the development of the game. For instance, a company from Shanghai works on development tools and on environment visuals.

Quite evidently, the size and scope of the game have prompted Square Enix to outsource a lot of content, and in Asia there are many companies with the technical expertise to do this kind of work.

On top of the announcement, screenshots and artwork were showcased. You can check them out below. Interestingly, Noctis’ car has a retractable hardtop that deploys when it rains, as showcased by the first image.
