Today Square Enix released on Twitter two Final Fantasy XV pictures that would basically be perfect for Father's Day, but they are a bit late for that.

Instead, they have been created to commemorate the anniversary of the release of the feature film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, that will happen tomorrow. The movie opened in Japan on July 9th, 2016.

The pictures showcase never-seen-before scenes that can be placed right after the first cutscene in Final Fantasy XV, filling a small gap in the story. While Noctis' expression is adorably awkward, considering his relationship with his father, those who know what happens afterwards will probably find them rather moving.

You can check them out in the gallery below.

Tn the meanwhile, the Final Fantasy XV development team is continuing to push the game with new DLC, including the recently released Episode Prompto, and Episode Ignis, that will come in December. Major announcements are also expected to come at Gamescom in August.

Final Fantasy XV is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One.
