Final Fantasy XV Team Shows Animated Motion Capture Process and “Important” Development Meeting

Square Enix has been very open in sharing elements of the development process of Final Fantasy XV, and today the game’s official Twitter account gave another glimpse on what’s happening in the development team’s sancta sanctorum.

First of all, we get an animated look on how motion capture turns into Prompto’s animations in the game. Square Enix has its own in-house motion capture studio, and they’ve been using it to create Final Fantasy XV‘s animations.

Secondly, we get a glimpse on an “important meeting” between Director Hajime Tabata and Animator Toyama-san. What they are discussing will unfortunately remain a mystery, at least for now.

One thing is for sure: the next Active Time Report broadcast can’t come soon enough. Only one doubt remains: Can you really discuss anything seriously with Prompto?
