Final Fantasy XV’s Cindy and Food With and Without Color Grading Compared

One of the main elements of discussion about the footage we saw of Final Fantasy XV, is its color grading. During a panel at CEDEC 2016 in Japan, Square Enix showcased the game with color grading on and off.

Incidentally, developers used Maya‘s renderer Viewport 2.0 for the color grading, as you can see in the slides below. It can certainly make a lot of difference.

That said, considering how color grading is handled in the development pipeline, it’s very possible that it’ll be further tweaked before the release of the game.
