Unfortunately, we won't be able to fly it.

Today, it was revealed that the popular racing title Forza Horizon 3 will soon be receiving a new car that fans of another notable franchise might be familiar with. Next week on August 1, the Regalia, the car made famous from last year’s release of Final Fantasy XV, will be available for download in Forza Horizon 3.

What’s perhaps the best news about this announcement is that those who played either Forza Horizon 3 or Final Fantasy XV will be able to receive the Regalia for free. That’s right, even if you don’t own Forza Horizon 3 but you have played Final Fantasy XV on Xbox One, then you will still receive a code via the Xbox Live messaging system giving you access to download the new vehicle just in case you ever were to purchase Forza Horizon 3. As for those who own Forza Horizon 3, the Regalia will be automatically sent to all players and will be able to be redeemed in the in-game messaging system.

Forza Horizon 3 has received a slew of awesome cars since its release last year, but the Regalia’s arrival is something that many fans might not have expected. It’s just too bad that we won’t be able to utilize the vehicle’s flying abilities.

To celebrate today’s announcement, a new trailer was released which showcases the Regalia looking better than ever. You can find this video at the bottom of the page.

As for Final Fantasy XV, be sure to check out our interview with the game’s composers that we published earlier today. Looking a bit ahead for the Forza series, the next entry in the franchise, Forza Motorsport 7, is slated to release this fall on October 3.
