Today's NYCC 2014 "World of Capcom" panel revealed a host of new information about Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, releasing early 2015 for 3DS.

Unlike the previous entry in the franchise, 4 will feature full online, with up to three players able to come together to fight enemies and aid in tough missions.

There will also be 14 weapon classes, including two new classes called Insect Glaive and Charge Blade. A new mechanic called Monster Riding allows the player to jump on a foe using any nearby cliff and attack them for massive damage. Some foes during missions are powerful enough to actually alter the terrain during battle, such as making even ground jagged and sloped or even knocking players into other areas.

Capcom also stated that there are plenty of new areas to explore, hundreds of types of new equipment and gear, and even the ability to recruit Felyne AI partners during the game.
