Campo Santo’s Firewatch is looking very promising, and it’s a game that I am personally looking forward to.

Firewatch’s Designer and Programmer Nels Anderson was featured in a recent interview, and answered a couple of questions regarding the game. One of them concerned it’s length, he answered that it will provide five to six hours on average. However, there is “actually quite a lot of “off the beaten path” areas in the game that players won’t have to visit,” which means a couple of extra hours for those who like to explore.

“It’s pretty hard to say since there’s actually quite a lot of “off the beaten path” areas in the game that players won’t have to visit. On average, I’d say maybe 5-6 hours … ? When I play it, it feels comparable to the length of a trilogy of movies or a TV mini-series.”

Firewatch releases on February 9th on PC and PS4.

My main and favorite thing to do in my life is play video games on my PS4 and admire the work that has been done in each game whether it's an AAA or an indie. Games are games no matter how many people develop it, it's the passion and hard work behind it. I am a crazy fan of Game of Thrones and love to read National Geographic magazines.
