2K Games and Gearbox have announced that their first downloadable expansion for Borderlands, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, will be released on November 24th 2010.

The DLC will cost $10 on the PlayStation Network and 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. And yes, PC fans, the DLC will eventually make its way on the PC. As for when, according to the developer’s Twitter, there’s “no date right now”.

The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is based on a new location with new quests, a bunch of enemies, and of course, loot. The story’s basis follows Dr. Ned’s attempts to cure the inhabitants of Jakobs Cove. However, as you can tell by the title of the DLC, it seems that Dr. Ned’s attempts didn’t work out quite as planned.

Borderlands is currently available on Xbox 360, PC and PS3. If you haven’t played it yet, you need to jump on it. It’s an awesome game (I’m playing it on the PC).
