The newest issue of Japan's Famitsu magazine contains some noteworthy details on Capcom's forthcoming PS3 exclusive sequel Sengoku Basara 4. Firstly, the magazine reveals five warriors who will appear in the action title. Sengoku Basara: Samuari Heroes stars Mitsunari Ishida and Masamune Date will both be returning in Sengoku Basara 4. The other three revealed characters are all newcomers: Shima Sakon, Shibata Katsuie and Ashikaga Yoshiteru. Let's have a look at them in the magazine screens below.

Shima Sakon wields two short katana and history suggests he served Mitsunari:

Shibata Katsuie wields some sort of pike and history suggests he was a servant of the tyrannical Nobunaga Oda:

Finally there's Ashikaga Yoshiteru and I can't see his weapon clearly. His color scheme is very similar to Mitsunari's and history suggests he was a great shogun:

While all of the newcomers look really cool, I'm slightly bummed that none of them are female fighters. We had very few of them in Samurai Heroes. Sengoku Basara 4 will be available in Japan sometime next year.
