First Frontier Gate Screens Show a Lot of Promise

We talked a while ago that Star Ocean developer tri-Ace is working with Konami on a couple RPGs – one of them being Frontier Gate. This is a title that takes place in, where else, the frontier. You and your NPC partner are pioneers that are working to make it in a harsh and rugged land. The story can develop in different ways depending on what kind of partner you choose, as well as your choices throughout the game. It’s currently set for a release this year in Japan on the PSP, and, from the looks of the screens after the break, appears to be very “tri-Ace”, if that makes any sense.

The game also now has an official site that you can check out if you’d like to see a little more, although content aside from these screens is still lacking. It’s early yet, things will certainly get more exciting as time goes on.
