First Rune Factory: Oceans Screens Wash Ashore

Yesterday we brought word that a new Rune Factory game was announced in the latest issue of Famitsu. Today, on their web site, they posted some of the first screens available of the PS3 version of Rune Factory: Oceans. There are some character shots and a shot or two of what battle looks like. Think we’ll be swinging our Move controllers for this action-based battle system? Only time will tell. Hit the break to check out the new screens.

There are three big things that are included with previous Rune Factory games, which are back this time around and improved. Your character can build relationships with people and even get married. This time, though, you can play as either a male or female. Secondly, you can explore the world on the back of this big walking giant thing called Ymir (seen in one of the screens below). Finally, you have the dungeons, which are given more variety this time around, including brighter, more outdoorsy locations.

Rune Factory: Oceans hits the PS3 and Wii in Japan on February 11, 2011.
