First Side by Side Picture of PS4 and Xbox One Game Cases Shows they Are the Same Size

With all the talk about the differences between Xbox One and PS4, let us talk about something that is apparently the same for both consoles: the size of the game cases.

We have already seen the official Xbox One and PS4 game cases by themselves, but we still didn’t see them together in the same shot, in order to make a proper size comparison between them. At last we can finally see them side by side courtesy of Twitter user Joseph Guzman, that managed to convince a Gamestop Employee to pose the cases for the camera.

Looks like both cases are indeed the same size, which also happens to be pretty much the same as PS3 game cases (as we saw in previous shots). Perspective can throw you off on the cases’ width, as it makes the PS4 case look slightly smaller, but if you look at the grating under them it’s indeed evident that the size is identical.

The times of uneven collections on our shelves seem to be drawing towards an end at least for the next generation, unless you also have a Wii U, that sports bigger DVD-sized cases like the Xbox 360.
