Fans of the Total War series have been waiting for this for a while, and today The Creative Assembly delivered. The first gameplay trailer of Total War: Rome II is now available for everyone to see.

The video looks definitely fantastic, with a level of detail and a scope that I can’t remember seeing in any RTS game before, including the Total War series. It’s been a long time coming, buf if this is what the new engine can do, it’s worth the wait.

You can check the trailer out below, and prepare to swoon.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
