Unable to attend the Arc System Works Festival this year? Then you’ve missed out on some very exciting news but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.

The sequel to the popular Guilty Gear franchise is officially in the works. The first trailer for Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- dropped today along with some screenshots and a rush of nostalgia reminded me why this  game is so beloved.

While the trailer is packed with the heavy metal music, smooth gameplay and captivating graphics. Its also very important to note, unlike the previous Guilty Gear Games, the graphics are no longer 2D sprites but cel-shaded 3D models powered by the Unreal Engine.

Daisuke Ishiwatari will be taking the director’s chair once again, so there’s a strong chance the final product could be filled with everything which made this franchise so special.

Check out the trailer and the screenshots below.

Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates
