After releasing last year to unknowing gamers everywhere, Five Nights at Freddy's became a smash sensation and especially popular among the YouTube/Twitch communities, and following two subsequent sequels, the proclaimed "Final Chapter" of the series will be coming a bit earlier than expected to scare us one last time.

Series developer Scott Cawthon revealed that Five Nights at Freddy's 4: The Final Chapter has had its release date bumped up from its originally-planned release on October 31st, 2015 to August 8th, 2015. Cawthon delivered the news to several popular YouTube channels in an email, allowing those users to reveal the new release date.

While that marks over a two month push-up from its original release date, Cawthon also revealed that additional content will be released for free "to keep the Halloween date special." The new release date is intended to coincide with the one-year anniversary of the original game's release in August 2014.

Five Nights at Freddy's 4: The Final Chapter will release on August 8th, 2015.
