Flappy Bird came like lightning in a bottle: after an explosive amount of downloads and plays on iOS and Android, developer and creator Dong Nguyen suddenly announced that he would be calling for the game’s removal last month due to it being an “addictive product.”

After slightly over a month since the game’s removal, Nguyen spoke with Rolling Stone in an interview following the rise and success of the game, while also going into Nguyen’s backstory, education, and life before the game. During the interview, Nguyen mentioned that the possibilities of Flappy Bird returning to download may happen in the future, as Nguyen mentioned, “I’m considering it.”

While Nguyen is not working on a new version of the game and has refused numerous offers for the purchase of the Flappy Bird license, Nguyen said he would consider bringing the title back for mobile, but would include a “warning” for the game to “please take a break.”
